Marbella presents virtual assistant mobile app for tourists

Visitors to Marbella now have another tool at their disposal when exploring the town.

New mobile app 'Asistente de Marbella', available in both English and Spanish, is an automated chatbot service (nicknamed Venus) that has been programmed to answer some of the most commonly-asked questions before directing users to opening hours, useful telephone numbers and fun facts.

The app, available on Android and soon in the Apple Store, "will keep improving, incorporating new answers", said one of the developers of the app which was commissioned by the town hall at a cost of 12,000 euros
